I have been unable to get passed day 2 even though I have logged on and played far more than 2 times. It keeps on going to day 2 and then restarting.

In order to get past day two you have to log-in into Dragon Eternity at least once every day , simply playing more than 2 times wont get you a better daily rewards.

I think what Duke is saying is true you have to play at least once a day
