In the main chat when someone is talking to me my name doesn't pop out green? And I don't get the message saying "You have a new message". And I'm on iPad.

Which iPad are you playing from and do you have the latest app updates on it? Please note that tablet version is a little bit different that browser and there might be small differences between two, especially regarding UI.
