help - can't grab the grabber

hi, i am stuck. when I click on the grabber in Watermill, the attack button is greyed out and the message displayed is 'Target is out of Reach'. What am I missing? What do I need to do? Thanks.

maybe you are in a double location? like outskirts of fort giard and fort giard, and grabber is on the other location? you can still see it, but its out of reach in less you are really in the correct location
