While I see the need for moderating chat, the current system seems flawed to say the least.

While simply telling a joke to hopefully make people laugh I "Hinted" at a word while not actually spelling it. For that some moderator without warning simply silenced me for two hours. A little more training on how to be a moderator might not go amiss it seems. ">
I'm sick and tired of people whining on forum by making posts (which, by the way, you're not supposed to do as there's a thread for this type of thing .
What's the point of concealing swear words if everyone knows what it means? Doesn't take a detective to find out that [suggested curse word] is actually [curse word].
I'll give you credit; you didn't carry yourself as a total idiot and start trashing a specific mod here. Just be mindful and all will be well.
I'm not trying to trash any specific mod in all honesty, I am a mod on several other games I realise the need for them, and the work it involves. Also if I had known there was a thread to raise this issue I would have done so on said thread. The lack of a search function on here is somewhat limiting.
I now realise that the chat rules are very stringent indeed, I will endeavor not to break them again, however my point is valid. I was given no warning that my actions where worthy of being silenced, I was simply silenced for a first offense that I was actually unaware was an offense in the first place, unfortunately for me.
As an adult who actually cares about such things and tries not to breach chat rules, being given a fair warning of the rules seems a reasonable request.
In response to both of your last posts:
At least you didn't do that so I won't dismiss you as an idiot. However, if you really feel the need for fair warning, READ THE CHAT RULES.
Do that and everyone will forget about this.
