Sydian
Is there ever going to be another way to obtain sydian?
have alot of clannies and other folks I know who won't buy purple gear because there is no chance to get sydian to upgrade
you can do hop on islands for it but it takes forever to get enough to upgrade and all the mines are taken
and no way to ever get one lol...unless you want to get bc'd forever
personally i have purple gear in my room because blue and green does more damage
tried requesting to rent a mine, but no go
and lower lvls that have bought purple gear have quite playing or don't do arenas because they get stomped by clan members who can get sydian
makes it hard to lvl rank ya know, when you don't do arenas
makes me sad to loose players i have know because they quite playing due to no sydian to upgrade

yes but not all people can do maze or afford to !

Do you get sydian if the prospectors miner is killed before it is completely finished mining? I have not tried lucky mining yet as I keep getting differerent answers and it's an expensive test to run.
But u get it from low tier mines too so u can just get 0k and 1k mines all day long

Seen many quit because of it. Neither option Clara gave is a viable option. HF/Elites attack all mines so you will never get there that way. Also because of those actions it is almost impossible to rank to get to that level where you can. Elites on islands do. Very little and usually you will have a HF/Elite join the side of the elite and kill you. So unless you have a clan member of those two. I wouldn't recommend it. Best way? Go out and attack the mines. Sit on a boat and just sail around attacking all mines. Consequences be damned. When you get threats... attack some more. Also attacking boats is good option but need a good crew.
But short of getting aggressive there isn't really a passive way to collect that will get you upgrades. First upgrade is 4k .. 6th upgrade is 17k.... So go out attack all HF and Elite claimed mines. They will bitch and moan about it.. but you will progressively get stronger.
Funny how attacking mines is the one option most people skip. Yes HF/Elite are strong. But they can't handle 5 clans attacking non-stop. The game can override the monopoly.
Thankfully, I have more people willing to go all the way with green gear and what few upgrades we can share. I can honestly say, being level 70 without full sydian upgrades sucks for PvP, but has no effect on everyday stuff like hero mobs and maze. king joffrey only has 2 sydian upgrades, the rest he is still green, and he is solo'ing torlings, and even though we have no deals in place, we're about to upgrade his cuirass with sydian from Maze time. There is too much focus put on PvP when there's so much more you can do in game.
My biggest concern when it comes to a lack of sydian - I am no longer motivated to cash. DE is losing a ton of money off people, like myself, that only cash when needing a gear upgrade. I cash for 90reals, use 50-60 on gear, and sell the rest to clan mates. DE needs money to make improvements, but will not be getting anymore from me until sydian is available.

English version, and note - 2g per day for 150 sydian. Not a great price, and will take months for that to make any gear upgrades.
Update - P.S. also note that need prospector supplies, and since HF/Elitists have full control of those too, there's little hope that those outpost mines will make any difference on the Vaalor side of the game.
2 Gold for 150 sydian is a wonderfull prices i would buy all mine if i got it offered for it.

You get 100 sydian for 6s on the islands. How is making others pay 2g for 150 sydian a fair deal? And more important is what Reaghnf wrote, will take Months before outpost leads to any upgrades. Our only hope is wars at this point.
My Experience:
There's no fighting HF/Elitists, you'll simply hit all my littles and make them switch sides or go to Ninth for protection (if they are good enough for ninth, most aren't). There's no sydian for me from prospecting, you take those too. There's no sydian from deals, Ninth won't let those happen. So, thankfully Admin has given us Maze of Eternity, that has been a huge help and I wish more would try it before complaining about a lack of sydian. The next best step would be for admin to get rid of the time restrictions on maze, let us go for our 2 hours when we can get a crew. Leave the elites to certain times, fine, then it will be our choice to wait for elites or not.
I'll wait for Wars, Outpost, and get more people that see level 70 as fun, even without sydian upgrades, Hopefully AS keep getting stronger, quicker, and keeps people active.
there is no protection in 9th. We all get bced like a christmas tree.

Afaik u could get coal/quarz/dolo/tin/log mines all day long if u are mining for sydian, just would have to defend them from barbs
Just keep at it and you guys will get upgraded over time too. And like you said, there are a ton of reps and other things that can keep you entertained without being sydian maxed. Right now, sadar have a large edge on sydian upgrades, but there is a cap of 10 pieces of gear to upgrade (plus neph). So, every piece of sydian that you collect brings you closer to being maxed out on gear too, just maybe on a slower timeline than some other players.

Oh...and on prospecting. I'd say don't bother. If the average drop is 2 sydian (1-3 per mine) and it takes roughly 200k sydian for all of your upgrades, neph included, that is 100,000 miners. Even if you held 10 mines at a time, ran every single mine to completion, and mined 24/7, it would take 834 days, or almost 2 1/2 year to upgrade (10,000 sets of 10 miners, 2 hours per set = 20,000 hours). And since you can't mine 24/7, can't always hold 10 mines at a time, and won't have all of them run to completion, it is probably more like a 10 years to upgrade via mining profession alone, even if you played pretty hard core that entire time.
People don't hate HF and Elitist for control of Sydian. As a whole we understand they are the strongest and will usually control most. I can accept that. But will still play underdog roll and fight. Their actions and mouths are why people have low opinions of the two clans. 70's attacking 30's and below because Syidan mines were attacked is why DE views 2 clans poorly(using gentle words here, nurse bumped the other post lol). Yes out there is a battleground and if you fight for it you can get it. But those two clans attack littles on mainland to make them leave the aggressive clans, quit game and/or prevent other clans from being aggressive in fear of 70's attacking all their littles. But I'm not saying anything here that most don't already know or feel about the clan.
Just go attack the mines. They will attack 20's 30's haha even single digits with full Sydian geared 70's sometimes even mounted. Ignore it. Tell your littles to toughen up and keep doing it.
Who attacks lowers, I can care less about lowers hitting them gets no point across. Actually I had this convo recently with your clan leader, I intentionally dont retaliate in some cases because I dont want to make lowers who are not involved in the sydian battles get frustrated about not being able to do quest etc.. I wont go back and forth but you have some people guilty of the very thing you mentioned as well, which I am sure you are aware of. In terms of people hating a clan that is crazy so I dont really care much about that its a game I have other things to put that kind of energy into. If some of the clans that post in here were capable they would do the same. I have played this game for some time and watched people with strength on both sides abuse it so that carries no weight with me either, It is a war game so I am sure it was intended for people to fight for the sydian or each clan would have designated mining spots.
No .. you are not one of the offenders. For most part I think of you as one of the more honest and better players. And no its not littles attacking Sydian mines. Its littles getting attacked for no other reason then a clan hit Sydian mines. And its not all HF's or Elites doing it. But as been told to me by clan mates of those clans. "they do what they want. we won't stop them. it is what it is." Which is the state of the game. Really it is what it is. Players play how they want.
Yes it is war game. Ninth is upgrading Sydian just fine. So i'm not speaking from personal or clan perspective on this. We found how to collect and upgrade regardless of tactics and we enjoy the game well enough. But game is dwindling. Mostly valor clans are becoming less active and less involved and eventually leaving game. For health of game i make the suggestions. Get both sides to grow and we'll have a lot of great fights. Allow individuals to dictate and we get what we have. Less actives and a lot of petty personal fights in a imaginary world. lol
