Amherst, It takes many many months to calmly sit back and wait for enough reals on katnip to do what I have planned for her. I am in no hurry to change her as I am still working on my main. It would be silly of me to rush her to the next level unless she has all she needs, without My Main help. But really long story short = none of your business what I do with my alts as long as I am following the already stated, very clear, rules on how to play alts:
Do Not join the SAME battleground or fight;
Do Not get on the same ship;
and follow all trade rules.

Anyone joining game, do not be discouraged by comments from Amherst. Make your multiple accounts, have fun with all of them, but follow the rules as stated by the Game Administration.

I am not trying to discourage anyone. What i am trying to do is show that these links in this post, may not be against the "rules", but seem to be felt by some as against the intent of the game. You love your army of alts, and that is fine. In my opinion, they simply should not be allowed to grow silver and reals. It is my opinion, and i will share it. I am fine if the players here disagree. But i also wanted to point out that the new system of oversight may want to double check what they are allowed to enforce. Is it just the current rules, or are they allowed to determine intent? And again, what proof are the admins wanting from players to show cheating? Pretty simple.

Really i dont know why ppls play with some alts also, like harley for example (4 witchers), and all them trying upgrade, i not have enoph time for play with 1acc lol, but its own deals for each. If they use them for gather professions also good if trade legal. BUt where take so much time, dont know, again maybe some have it....not intresting, why we need think about it???
I post it because some ppls spent not only they time with lose batles(moneys) for all teams with joinning undressed alts in daylly event, and even not listen comands in sb or not fight in roa(5 team only, -1 almost unreal win), alll this make big disbalnce, and why others need it???

Why not just raise lv for sb to lv 40. That I think would help too keeping smaller alts out.
Might also motivate some to finally lv up too.

autum winter, I'd be very nervous about a change from 22 to 40. Blood Wargal level 36, quests under that too. I could support a change from level 22 to level 25 and a blue belt requirement by game, but not all the way to 40. Somehow we'd get screwed the way we did when they changed tracker reputation levels.

Alt in Sea Battle is illegal. Rigs fights. When investigation unit starts, he will detail the punishment for any alts of a main character.

You have to ask Dreidan to define "ALT". Maybe DE need to do what Amherst suggest about choosing a main. Some people have 2 or 3 somewhat similar toons carry over from Luna and/or Aer and want to get a particular toon more corsair rep.

He will let us know more details , it probably will require distinction from people who actually have alts that are as good as their mains.

I personally can’t think of a top player myself who has 2 toons that are completely equal in terms of gear and reps. But we will find that out when we get to the investigation portion / more details from Dreidan and be able to see every toon belongs to who and if people are logging into other people’s accounts.

Dreidan only comes when there are actually updates available. Otherwise it’s pointless for him to come and tell us the same thing when nothing has changed. That is why he leaves for a period of time and returns. There’s not a point to him sitting here and everyone asks him questions of when something is coming because he has no idea since he’s not calling the shots on when things are implemented.

I just asked him the 2 questions I had straight up: the alt and account sharing. No alts in SB , and no logging into other people’s accounts as that was a report we got of people account sharing. When time comes more detail will be given.

Leane, thanks for the update but I, of course, call BS on "no alts at all in SB". That is completely unfair for those of us who have worked, and planned to continue to work, on multiple toons who will need SB to get neph. I will wait patiently for more information but hope Dreidan (and other admin) realize that negative punishments to the few legit alt users, due to the pathetic actions of the trolls, is wrong.

It's called Good Customer Service to keep in contact with your clients, and I (and many others) have paid more than enough money into this game to deserve it. If I left my clients for 2 weeks at a time without even putting an "out of office" message up, I would be fired. At work, I also must consider ALL the facts before making decisions.

If this is how we want the game to go, I would like to declare that Kitty Kat is my new main and will be the only toon I queue for SB with.

I dissagree with banning all alts or should I say second accounts in sb. When we get mixed sb s and one has 2 good accounts that are able to do good damage, it shouldnt be illegal that he goes in with another account. That is why I feel that rasing lv in sb is the way to go. Because hardly any have second account over lv 40 and if they do it likely to be a good second. Maybe it would be better if one gets a effect if not a certain amount of damage is made like it is for war so he gets excluded in next 24 hours sb rounds.

Dreidan specified to me that he mainly does programming so he is in essence not working in customer service area but just a messenger since Ihit is not around anymore and they needed someone to do it.

From what I gleaned, the Council is essentially now standing in to take care of things when he is not present. I believe he is not wrong to not log in when he has no updates to give because he will most likely be bombarded with the same PMs that he can’t really answer: when will this happen? What are you going to do about this? Council is there to answer the questions as best we can which are no different from the answer he would give.

He explicitly stated he does not call shots of when any changes are implemented. So instead of him logging in to tell you I don’t know in regards to timeframe, now Council can do that. When he does login, there are updates he informs us of and we will disseminate information accordingly. And, any reports of cheating / bugs get posted to our own Guardian forum for review.

ProtectBlueJelly, more information was provided to me, including the fact that there was no discussion with the other council to decide this new “rule”; and therefore I choose not remain as patient. Had all 5 agreed to this (as I unfortunately assumed all council would be given an opportunity to discuss before a rule change), then I would have kept my comments to myself. I trust Leane to have shared what was discussed with her but why should I trust admin to do a good job when we are already suffering so poorly from previous bad decisions, such as removing mixed SB years ago. It also should be understood that I needed to go to terra forum to find out what the most recent update was and that is very much using up all of my patience.

Also, autum, there is already a ban for SB if you do poorly in damage. The problem is that the trolling alts get banned and simply queue with another alt, which is something council will hopefully soon put an end to.

This thread should be deleted the same way that Amherst comment was deleted. The person that originate this thread is the BIGGEST cheater of them all. Him and his 1K alts should be banned from the game. Everything Amherst said applies to him with one thing Amherst did not mention. His alt join ninth for a week or so and they exchange reals to main and gold to alt. I do not mention his name cause he do not know how to play and terra drive that russian off their server.

Just as a side note:

No posts are allowed to removed or deleted by Council members. They can only be locked and moved to Archives under various.

And, any of the Council members will be asking Dreidan questions or concerns in regards to the alt debate so they will post whatever he responds here. I was not able to get more detail than no alts as I was at work and only could think of to ask the basic questions when he was online. Other Council members will ask about the building of 2nd character. Please be mindful this is not a rule change: we are asking Dreidan a direct question so he can clarify where the line is. It is for everyone to know as well as us on Council because otherwise we won’t know what is the clear line when we investigate the reports we get for cheating.
